Smyrna High Soccer

Here are directions to Friday’s scrimmage in Lawrence County.

Take 65 S to Saturn Pkwy exit; take the split to Hwy 31 South to Columbia.

Once on Hwy 31 South, go about 8 miles to the 2^nd traffic light; this should be the intersection to Hwy 43; TURN RIGHT.

Take Hwy 43 S about 36 miles until you come into Lawrenceburg.

I believe it’s at the 4^th traffic light, you will TURN LEFT onto Weakley Creek road. (There will be a First Volunteer Bank, a Bank of America, Farmer’s Supply, and a Pharmacy at the intersection.)

Go through the next traffic light. You will go past the football stadium and baseball field; look for entrance to Brewer Park on the LEFT.

Both the girls and the boys soccer players will meet after school on both Monday and Tuesday- January 11th and 12th. Chance of playing Tuesday so make sure you bring stuff to work out and play in. Signs up for Shisam and any and all Shisam information will be passed out so make plans to attend.

Team B: James Jordan, Dakota Brown, Sid Sinha, Abdul Abbas, Matt Ross, Anthony brendle, Jonathan Malanodo, AJ Melbert, Jacob Hines, Chris Loveless- Coach Mr. Melbert

Schedule will be posted on Friday due to last minute changes so check for those, also check you text messages in case it snows and we are out of school.

There will be an important parent’s meeting about the Shisam tournament which is upcoming the 15-17, 2010 of January. The meeting is for all parents both Boy’s and Girl’s parents. The meeting will be in the Smyrna High School library starting at 5 PM. Please make every effort to attend.

Congratulations to the following Lady Bulldogs on being named to the DNJ’s All-Area Soccer Team for 2009. Senior, Shelbey Farmer- 1st Team, Senior, Rachel Wright- 2nd Team, Freshman, Holly Vetter-2nd Team and Junior Emma Mason, Honorable Mention. Boy’s soccer basics can be found on the link below. Team shorts and socks will be given out closer to the season and they will be billed to you at that time. Please plan what you need and order things so that you are ready to go. If you are not sure yet as to wether you will make the team or not you should have a better idea before the web site closes so don’t miss anything in January. Questions see Coach Mac.

Senior Shelbey Farmer has been selected to play in the Tennessee High School Coaches Soccer Association and Tennessee Athletic Coaches Associations All-Star game on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Hendersonville’s Drake Creek Park. Shelbey is one of 35 senior girls chosen to play in this game from across the state. Shelbey will play on the East team. Congratulations  Shelbey Farmer !
